What strategy is it that's getting you 2:01, but not under 2:00 until you manage to get hold of a video?

(There may be some follow-ups later, but just this one is good for now.)

I don't really do strategy on levels unless I find it helpful like i'm going to search for a video on Youtube to find a better way to beat it because i'm rusty at SA2B and most of these times were set by me awile back.

I spindash through all the doors at the peak of opening(faster way)then go to the switch without breaking boxes and go down to the rocket and break metal crates. I go to the doors after the green room and outside and bounce jump(its faster) up the pathway, then go in and outside again and jump down and break the crates. Finally outside I went to the left and through the glitch to reach the goal ring. I can't really explain it any other way =)

Eternal Engine is a level where you play as Tails, not Sonic.

Ok, I found my error, I posted my "Hard Time" on Mission 1.
I still need a video on How to improve on it though.

hard mode is still a tails level. and there is still the issue of your time not being legit, for the same reason it wouldn't be on m1. you'll need to do better than that.

picture proof would be welcome. In the meantime it'd be nice if you could tell us why you gave us a strat for Sonic, and tell us what strat you actually used on this level.

Shoot all enemies as quickly as possible and go to the spring. As I reach the 3rd room, I used a door glitch to hover straight as soon as you turn around, and keep going till you see green outerside lined with a wall and make a change in direction on the otherside...you would reach the goal ring.
I will get a pic of my time as soon as I get a hold of a camera.

I have a pretty good idea of what's going on here, but...how are you numbering the rooms? Because the way I see them, there's no spring until after the 3rd room, and the 3rd room itself is pretty darn blank.

That's the second locked door, which is followed by a room that can be numbered either 4 or 6. Not 3.

It makes no sense to describe the path the way you did, unless...I don't know, maybe you're trying to describe a path that you've never actually tried, only seen somewhere else.

But he does know that there's almost no difference between normal and hard in Eternal Engine, and certainly not enough that if you know how to play the level, you'll come up 16 seconds shorter on one or the other.

Getting a 2:01 hard mode at all doesn't make any more sense, for that matter.

It's not like I can do the glitch right the 1st time over and over again. Its really hard to do, and its funny that I did it better in normal than in hard. Your right, there is no difference. But it was completly random.
